Happy Thanksgiving!!

It is the most wonderful time of the year! I love the holidays. I have been slacking on my blogging and I figured the holidays are a perfect time to start. The holidays always bring me back to my childhood. To me Thanksgiving is about reflecting on the past, looking towards the future and being grateful as well as a day full of family and food. The day after I always wake up feeling excited and refreshed for the season upon us.

My in-laws own an Christmas tree farm, which my husband always helps with on Black Friday. Hanging around the farm at this time of the year always has the pleasant scent of pine, or Christmas scent if you will. The weekend gets filled with driving home and rushing to set up our freshly cut tree in our house. There is a crispness, and refreshing smell of pine in the house that is also warm and humbling all at the same time. If we're lucky, I'll be backing Christmas cookies to go along with freshly pine scented house. Sometimes it is the small things, but those small things are heavenly.

Of course it wouldn't be the holiday season without shopping. I truly enjoy finding that perfect gift for people on my list. It starts with shopping small.
